DSC_0742We are a family of 3 (mom, dad and a junior high kiddo high schooler) doing our best to find time between work, school and sports to explore the outdoors. We live in California where we have the kind of amazing weather that makes you feel guilty for staying inside. Luckily, there is so much to do and see, and so much of the year to do it all in. We’d love for you to join us on our trips through this blog, and hope we can provide any ideas for you to make your own special memories.

We don’t live in our campervan, but we take it out as much as we can for day trips, camping trips, my daughter’s volleyball tournaments, or just to eat a meal with a view. Anything to get us outside. The food we make for our trips or on our trips have played a big role in our enjoyment of the outdoors, so I’ll be sprinkling in some recipes that have been our favorites. The blog has morphed to include trips without the campervan as well …. because the world we live in is such a big, beautiful place.

I started my blog in March 2016 and I feel like there is still so much to learn. What I’ve enjoyed most about this blog is that I’ve met some wonderful, like-minded people. I’m always open to any any comments, advice, suggestions, sharings, tips, etc.. and would love to hear from you. Thanks for visiting!

  6. This is so awesome! It’s wonderful that you took the step, and actually fulfilled a dream. So many people never actually do it. I’m sure it is extremely beneficial for the whole family.
    I got an RV when my daughter was an infant, and we lived in it, on and off, for several years. We don’t have it anymore, but there’s rarely a day going by, when I don’t think about things we experienced with it. Not only places, but the close connection we got by spending so much time together. We went to a total of 46 states with it. I worked a little here and there, to make ends meet. It made our life so much richer. I’m sure your experience is a similar positive one. I’m so happy for you!
